A hand-turned maple hollow form with a lidded top and a slender ebonized finial. Figured grain and natural checking make this a one-of-a-kind display piece.
Turned from a maple log saved from the burn pile. The cracks and spalting you see were left in on purpose, and the ebonized finial is turned separately and fit by hand.
